Vanidestine, Webb propel Bangor West

BANGOR – Kyle Vanidestine and Gordon Webb rapped two singles apiece as Bangor West posted a 5-2 victory over Bangor East in Little League All-Star tourney play for 11- and 12-year-olds.

For Bangor East, Kyle Gallant hit two singles.

Lincoln 9, Brewer 3

At Brewer, Derek Libbey hit a two-run home run in the second inning, helping Lincoln get the win.

Drew Welsh hit three singles while Jacob Smith had two doubles and an RBI and Tyler White added an RBI single.

For Brewer, Dave Perry had a single and a double for an RBI while Matt Wilson contributed with an RBI single.

Acadian 12, Coastal 11

At Bar Harbor, Max Blandford nailed a three-run home run and an RBI single, leading Acadian to the win.

Isaiah Gray had two RBIs on two singles while Nick Hubbard hit two singles and Nick Swanson had a single and a double.

For Coastal, Colin Henry had a single, a double, and a grand slam for six RBIs. Lance Gale smacked a two-run home run while Jeremy Dunham pitched in with two singles.

Sunrise 15, Ellsworth 12

At Machias, Mandy Ostberg hit an RBI single in the fifth, helping give Sunrise the win.

Samantha Baker had two singles for two RBIs.

For Ellsworth, Lilly Cooper had two RBIs on two singles while Lauren Peer and Taylor Trombley each had two singles and one RBI. Catherine Carter pounded out three singles while Emily Lewis and Cassie Gilley both had two singles.

Hampden 19, Lincoln 15

At Brewer, Josh Tardiff led Hampden with a single, a double and a triple.

Nolan Turner had three RBIs on a single and a double while Jonathan Johnson contributed a single and a triple and Greg O’Donnell added a single and a double.

For Lincoln, Tyler Tash hit two doubles for two RBIs, while Justin Pete had two singles and Wayne Campbell pitched in with a double.
