BUCKSPORT – Chris McGuire allowed only three hits while striking out seven to lead Bucksport by Acadian 4-0 Thursday for the District 1 title in Little League baseball all-star action for ages 11-12.
Matt Gray nailed a solo home run and a single while Alex Yates contributed with a two-run triple for the winners.
For Acadian, Mike Blandford had a double.

At Lincoln, Jesse Miller hit three singles and had an RBI, leading Lincoln to the win.
Brandon Tolman and Jacob Smith both added RBI singles.
For Orono-Veazie, Travis Davis had a triple, a single and scored two runs while Troy Jellison a d Brian Henigan each had RBI singles.

At Brewer, Mack Susi struck out five and hit two singles for two RBIs, leading Bangor East to the win and the District 3 championship.
Chad Kelley pounded out two doubles for two RBIs while Nate Lewis had two doubles and a single for an RBI. Devon Lyshon and Jordan Clark had a double and a single apiece.
For Hampden, Nate Clark led with three singles while Jonathan Johnson added two singles. Spencer Ranger hit a double and a single and Josh Tardiff doubled.

At Calais, Brad Goody led Orono with a solo home run and a single.
Bo Thomas hit a triple and a single while Shane Tidwell added a home run.
For Calais, Scott Flannery hit a double and a single for two RBIs and had three stolen bases.

At Bucksport, Joel Barrett led Brewer with a home run and a single for four RBIs.
Jason Work nailed a three-run homer while Justin Spencer hit a home run and a single for two RBIs for the winners. Adam Freeman contributed with an RBI, two singles and a double.
For Penquis, Bill Kane hit two singles.

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, Bill Chapman drew a bases-loaded walk, allowing Ryan Worcester to score the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Comrades edged the Storm.
Andy Treadwell and Andy Tremble combined on a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and nine walks for Bangor.
Treadwell hit a single and a two-run homer in the second inning. Jim Shea doubled and singled, Chris Bombardier hit two singles and Shawn Bouchard tallied an RBI double.
Shawn Henderson and Steve Kennedy singled for Sebasticook.
