BELFAST – Singer Kathleen Hannan will perform at 7:30 July 28, in a release concert for her new CD, “Count My Heart,” at the Hutchinson Center. Ellen Clegg, a percussionist from Northampton, will join her.

The songs on Hannan’s album explore themes of community with a song celebrating the first free elections in South Africa to one about the Chipko Environmental movement in India. She writes songs about our human connection to the Earth.

The concert is sponsored by the Women in the Curriculum and Women’s Studies program at the University of Maine.

Tickets range in price from $5 to $15.
