AUBURN – Art Brawn nailed two singles and also scored on a double steal as Bucksport posted a 3-1 win over Cape Elizabeth in the Little League baseball state tournament for 11- and 12-year-olds on Saturday.

Tom Entwistle and Jack Bump each singled for Bucksport.

Alex Yates and Matt Gray nailed a single apiece for Cape Elizabeth.

At Auburn, Jon Payeur cracked a two-run home run for East Biddeford as they rolled over Millinocket.

Tony Dube nailed two doubles in the second inning for East Biddeford while Zack Lemelin hit a two-run, two-out single.

Jeff Osborne led Millinocket with a single in the third inning.

At Old Town, Breanna Ghelli nailed an RBI single in the 10th inning to bring in Cindy LeGage for the winning run as Deering put away Sanford.

Michelle Cusack belted two singles and a double with two RBIs for Deering while Heather Berry tripled and singled with two RBIs.

Kristina Grondin led the Sanford attack with two singles and a double with three RBIs as Jen Paradis added three singles with two RBIs.
