MADAWASKA – Residents will decide tonight the transfer of money to complete two projects.
The meeting will be held at 7 tonight in the Madawaska High School cafeteria.
The larger of the two transfers involves $225,000 from the wastewater pollution department fund balance to pay for the installation of sewer lines on East Main Street.
Madawaska’s East Main Street is going through a complete rehabilitation. The project, expected to cost more than $2 million, includes the changing of sewer lines from Third Avenue to an area near Gagnon Brook.
The second transfer of money is for the school department. That involves $50,000 from undedicated balance funds to upgrade technology throughout the school department.
