MARLBORO, N.J. – Bangor scored six runs in the sixth inning Sunday night en route to a 7-6 victory over Delaware in the Junior League (ages 13-14) Eastern Regional baseball tournament.

Bangor, which beat Vermont 4-2 Saturday, advances to Tuesday’s 8 p.m. game against 2-0 New York.

On Sunday, Bangor managed only five hits but benefitted from five Delaware errors. Ben Silver had an RBI single for the winners behind winner Eric Anderson, who needed relief help from Anthony DeRosa in the seventh.

Shelton Beckham led Delaware with three hits and three RBIs.

On Saturday, Brian Hackett scattered three hits, striking out eight. Jordan Heath singled twice and scored two runs while Eric Anderson singled with an RBI and Ben Silver added an RBI.

Aaron Pacetti singled and scored for Vermont.

At Bristol, Conn., Sunday, Steve Demastrie threw six scoreless innings on two hits as Pittsfield, Mass., beat Damariscotta in the Eastern Regional tournament.

Massachusetts scored three runs in the fourth inning on three errors and a sacrifice fly by Ben Joslyn. They added two runs in the fifth on Damastrie’s RBI double.

Pennsylvania 11, Bangor 0

At West Deptford, N.J., Saturday, Randy Norman allowed only one hit and struck out six for Meadville, Pa., in a win over Bangor in Eastern Regional action.

Bill Johnston and Nick Phillips each nailed an RBI single for Pennsylvania champs.

At West Deptford, N.J., Sunday, Daniel King notched a triple, a double and a single with an RBI as Long Beach, N.Y., eliminated Bangor.

Mike Baumann had a single and two RBIs for New York while William Rieber hit an RBI triple.

Nate Hall led Bangor with two singles and an RBI. Ryan Willette and Josh Heath had RBI singles.

At West Haven, Conn., Saturday, Jill Ouellette nailed two singles with two RBIs to lead West Point, Pa., over Old Town.

Mary Wollstadt ripped two singles for Old Town while Renee Thibodeau singled with an RBI.

Emily Richards led Old Town with a single and an RBI.
