Smart wins at Speedway 95

HERMON – Dean Smart of Hudson started on the pole and held the lead for the entire distance to win the caution-free 50-lap Super Street feature at Speedway 95 on Saturday night.

Smart was challenged briefly during the race by both Milton Ketch of Olamon and Matt Eaton of Deer Isle.

Ketch finished second, with Eaton crossing in third. Bill Harnish of Winterport was fourth and Ryan Deane of Winterport finished in fifth

Faulkingham gains Charger win

At Unity Raceway, Tony Faulkingham picked up a win in the Charger division. Brian Sweatt finished in second with Tim Gerow in third.

Cory Hight takes win in Flagpole

At Wiscasset Raceway, Cory Hight of Skowhegan once again flexed the muscle under the hood of his Hight Chevrolet Monte Carlo to roll to a dominating win in the Flagpole race.

West Bath’s Dale Reno started in the pole position and finished a distant second. Brunswick’s Wayne Ambrose rolled in to pick up the third place trophy despite finishing the race with a flat left front tire.

Brian Curtis wins Pro Eliminator

At Winterport Dragway, Wellington’s Brian Curtis crossed the finish line in first in the Pro Eliminator division. Joe Paluga of Bar Harbor took second while Barney Ryan of Harmony finished third. In fourth was Machiasport’s Joe Moore.
