I applaud Roxanne Quimby’s vision and purchases of land for a national park. There is certainly enough land for a conservatorship and for the lumber industry. Our state is beautiful and we want to have it to enjoy for perpetuity.
Quimby is joining the company of Percival Baxter, John Muir, the Rockefellers of Mount Desert Island, George Dorr and others who had the foresight, determination and funds to preserve land for protection.
There are many of us out there who share her views.
