Recently, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to allow oil drilling in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
What a wonderful idea.
If the idea is good for Alaska, then it’s good for Maine. So I propose that we drill for oil in Baxter State Park and the Allagash Wilderness Waterway. We can build the first pumping station on the AWW at John’s Bridge where access will be easy. After all, in this Darwinian world, what is more important – deer, moose, bear, and fish, or energy to run our cars and television sets?
