HERSHEY, Pa. – Five young Maine athletes came away with top-eight finishes at the Hershey’s Track and Field Youth Program North American Final Saturday. MacKenzie DeGraff of Brewer was seventh in the girls ages 9-10 long jump with a leap of 5 feet, 91/2 inches.

HERSHEY, Pa. – Five young Maine athletes came away with top-eight finishes at the Hershey’s Track and Field Youth Program North American Final Saturday.
MacKenzie DeGraff of Brewer was seventh in the girls ages 9-10 long jump with a leap of 5 feet, 91/2 inches. Maureen Capehart of Bangor was eighth in the girls 13-14 200 meter run with a time of 32.65 seconds.
Brothers Elliot Swan and Matt Swan of Bowdoin also fared well. Elliot was seventh in the boys 9-10 softball throw (133-5) and Matt was seventh in the boys 13-14 800 (2:23.2). Emily Wytas of Topsham was seventh in the girls (9-10) 400 with a time of 1:19.5.
