Not leftovers

In response to “Valuable ‘leftovers'” (BDN , Aug. 6), I have to ask what the difference is between embryos made in a petri dish or test tube or the womb. There is no difference whatsoever. They are all babies, regardless of location. The media have failed to report that all experiments with embryo stem cells have failed, while stem cells from umbilical cords, placentas and even adults themselves have been used successfully.

It’s time for the scientific and medical community to stop murdering the innocent just so they can have their name printed in some prestigious journal and receive government (taxpayer) funding. These are not blank slates, but future doctors, nurses, maybe a president or congressman.
