ASHLAND – Senior Amanda Martin scored three goals to power the Ashland Hornets past the Easton Bears 6-1 in schoolgirl soccer action Tuesday.
Martin now has 41 high school career goals.
Beth Chamberlain had two goals and an assist while Caitlin Sherman added a goal for the 1-0 Hornets. Ashlee Peres and Jessica Jacques each recorded assists while Kim Oakes stopped two of four shots.
Nina Alexander scored 0-1 Easton’s goal unassisted and Toni Ladner made 15 saves on 28 shots.
Fort Fairfield 5, CAHS 2
At Mars Hill, Maranda Butler scored two goals, leading 1-0 Fort Fairfield to the win.
Libby Gardner had a goal and an assist while Brook McCrum scored unassisted for the winners. Brittney McLaughlin added a goal with an assist from Brittney Guirou. Dani Sayers made 21 saves on 29 shots.
For 1-0-1 Central Aroostook, Danielle Larrabee scored an unassisted goal while April Clockedile scored with the assist going to Gabrielle Smith. Chantal Gagnon and Brittany Lundeen combined for five saves on 15 shots.
