Three Mainers came away with trophies at the 2001 World Horseshoe Pitching Tournament held recently in Hibbing, Minn.
Robert Wood Sr. of Bangor topped the G2 division with a 101/2-21/2 record. He also had a 38.65 percent ringer rate.
Deborah Morrison of Harmony placed second in E division with a 12-4 record and a 51.88 percent tournament ringer percentage.
And Mildred Huff, also of Harmony, finished second in D division with a 12-3 record and a 51 percent ringer rate in the tourney.
