MACHIASPORT – The Aug. 27 meeting of the Machiasport Historical Society will feature a presentation on the water contamination problem from the former U.S. Air Force radar station on Howard’s Mountain.
The speaker will be Phil Rose, chairman of the Restoration Advisory Board, a group of local residents and state and federal agencies that are working on the cleanup.
The meeting takes place at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at the Gates House on Route 92. The public is invited.
