Rockport center plans mid-October opening

ROCKPORT – Officials at the Mid Coast Recreation Center, a four-season facility for ice skating and tennis under construction on Route 90, say the facility is on schedule for a mid-October opening.

From 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, the center will hold an open house at which registrations for the youth and adult tennis programs for the fall may be made. Registration for those interested in figure skating and hockey programs also will be accepted.
