BANGOR – Tom Doak, director of the Maine Forest Service, will be the keynote speaker at the Industrial Forestry Forum, which will convene on Sept. 6.

In his presentation, titled “The State of Maine’s Forest,” Doak will offer an overview of the forest service’s involvement on issues such as forestry law enforcement, grant funding and forestry certification.

The event will take place at Pilots Grill in Bangor, with a social hour starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner. Doak will give his presentation at 7:30 p.m.
