HOULTON – Alex Daigle led the Madawaska Owls to a 4-3 boys soccer victory over Houlton with three goals, including the game-winner midway through the second half.
Steven Soucy assisted on the winning goal. Myles Morneault added a goal for 4-1 Madwaska.
David Carmichael paced the Shiretowners with two goals. Dan Sussman added a goal and an assist, while Chris Austin also had an assist for 1-5 Houlton.
Soucy stopped seven of 10 Houlton shots, while James Skehan stopped eight of 12 for the Shiretowners.
Washburn 3, Limestone 0
At Washburn, Trevor Thibodeau provided all of Washburn’s offense as the Beavers won their fourth straight game.
Jesse Maynard had his second assist of the season and his second shutout by stopping all 12 shots for the 5-3-1 Beavers. Isaac Carney and Taylor Bagley each had an assist.
For the 1-3 Eagles, Dominik Lebkowicz saved 12 of 22 shots.
Central Aroostook 3, Hodgdon 0
At Mars Hill, Brian Grew’s goal 45 seconds into the game set the tone as the 3-3-1 Warriors blanked the 2-3 Hawks.
Patrick Walsh and Andy Grigois scored the other goals. Grigois assisted on Walsh’s goal. Jonathan Boyel tuned away six of 11 shots.
Adam Hogan and Ryan Doescher combined to stop 18 of 29 shots for Hodgdon.
Van Buren 2, Fort Fairfield 0
At Fort Fairfield, Jesse Parent and Stacy Ayotte’s goals were enough to lift the Crusaders.
Chris Masamoula added an assist for 5-1 Van Buren. Sean Violette rejected seven of 14 shots.
For the 4-1-1 Tigers, Ryan Babin turned away 17 of 24 shots.

Central Aroostook 1, Hodgdon 1
At Mars Hill, the Central Aroostook Panthers and Hawks fought to a standstill behind goals from Ashley Caron McGary and Shanna McGary, respectively.
Ashley Clockedile assisted the goal by Central Aroostook and Jamie Nightengale added the assist for Hodgdon.
Chantal Gagnon saved six of nine shots for the 5-2-1 Panthers. Amanda Fitzpatrick stopped seven of 20 shots for the 3-1-2 Hawks.
Van Buren 7, Fort Fairfield 0
At Fort Fairfield, Micah LaPlante’s offensive outburst of four goals and two assists, including three goals in the first half, led the Crusaders to victory.
Nicole Corbin added two goals and two assists, and Tosha Gagnon added a goal and an assist. Natalie Cormier and Sarah Lajoie each assisted Van Buren goals.
Danielle Gagnon stopped nine of 10 shots for 5-1 Van Buren. Dani Searles and Britney Lavoie combined to stop seven of 20 shots for 1-5 Fort Fairfield.
Limestone 3, Washburn 0
At Limestone, Ashley Brooker broke free for two unassisted goals to power the Eagles.
Jacinda St. Pierre chipped in with a goal for the 4-1 winners off an assist from Susie Johnson. Goalie Nikki Michaud made 12 saves on 13 shots.
Morgan Sickles made six saves on nine shots for 1-6-2 Washburn and Emily Campbell had two saves on four shots.
