Grilling time
Grilled cheese is an old standby, but the participants in Mr. Food’s Hometown Grilled Cheese contest gave it a new twist. Tracy Preston of New Orleans piled Italian bread high with Muenster and pepper jack cheeses, andouille sausage, and pepper jelly before grilling. The result was a spicy, grand prize-winning sandwich. For a copy of the winning recipes, including New York Strip Steak Grilled Cheese, Hoosier Apple Surprise Sammies and Mr. Food’s Pacifica Pear Grilled Cheese, among others, send a business-size SASE to: Mr. Food’s Hometown Grilled Cheese, ADA Recipe Leaflets, c/o Inland Marketing Services, P.O. Hey, Mickey
