PRESQUE ISLE – The Celebrating Women of Aroostook year 2002 calendar kickoff and recognition ceremony will he held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, in Reed Commons on the campus of Northern Maine Technical College.

The women being honored include: Vickie Brown, Presque Isle; Corris Coffin, Presque Isle; Lorraine Cox, Caribou; Louise Espling, Woodland; Dale Holden, Houlton; Betty Kent-Conant, Fort Fairfield; Venette Kind, Fort Kent; Ruth Lane, Sherman Station; Blanche MacKay, formerly Danforth; Martha Mary McCormack, Limestone; Cleo Ouellette, Frenchville; Patricia Sutherland, Chapman.

A short program will include a presentation of roses and certificates to the honorees, music and guest speakers and refreshments. Quilts and an exhibit of previous calendar honorees will be on display. The public is invited. For information, call 764-0050.
