AUGUSTA – The Maine International Trade Center has announced its September schedule.

On Sept. 11, MITC and the Governor’s Office will present “Viva Mexico!” a celebration of Mexico’s independence day. The event will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Augusta at the Department of Economic and Community Development, at 111 Sewall St.

Mexico Consul General Carlos Rico, Gov. Angus King and Augusta City Manager Bill Bridgeo will attend, and a reception at the Blaine House will follow. The event costs $15 for MITC members and $20 for nonmembers.

MITC will hold a seminar, Import-Export 101, from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 20 at its office on 511 Congress St. in Portland. The seminar will cover international terms of sale, terms of payment, credit insurance and logistics. Call 541-7400 for information about either event.
