PORTLAND – Nike Inc. has decided to move its annual shareholders meeting on Sept. 17 from the Center for Cultural Exchange to a larger venue to accommodate its employees in Maine and New Hampshire.

A site selection committee that left Maine on Thursday made the decision to move the meeting to the Portland Expo building, which can accommodate the employees, said Joani Komlos, a spokeswoman in Beaverton, Ore.

Nike has 200 employees at the international headquarters of its Cole Haan subsidiary in Yarmouth and about 220 workers at a distribution center for Cole Haan, Nike and Bauer products in Greenland, N.H.
