WNBA needs changes

It certainly has been a pleasure to watch the WNBA playoffs. Congratulations to the Charlotte Sting for winning the Eastern championship. They’re such a talented group with coach Ann Donovan at the helm! Thanks ESPN for bringing the games into our living rooms.

There were a couple of things that I feel might improve the presentation, however. Surely the WNBA can come up with better sponsors than Budweiser and Monistat. Honestly!

Also, having interviews during game-time was distracting. It takes away from the live action the fans are eager to see. There’s plenty of time during halftime for interviews.

Of course, we’re all disappointed at not having seen more of Cindy Blodgett. Regardless, she’ll always be “simply the best” to her fans here in Maine.

With California being represented by two teams, I’m wondering what it would take to have a team from Maine. We certainly have seen plenty of talent come out of the University of Maine. A little food for thought….
