PRESQUE ISLE – Trevor Graves scored two first-half goals to help the Presque Isle boys soccer team earn an 8-3 victory over Nokomis Saturday in high school action.

Ben Lynch and Nick Casavant each chipped in with two goals and Kyle James and Luke Blackstone had one apiece for the 5-0 Wildcats. James added two assists and goalie Ben Sirois made three saves on nine shots.

Justin Veazie scored two goals for the 0-1 Warriors of Newport and Marc Caldwell added one. Ryan McLellan notched an assist and goalie Mike Jacques made seven saves on 29 shots.

Ellsworth 5, Bucksport 1

At Bucksport Saturday, freshman strike Jensen Rich had two goals and two assists to lead the Eagles past the Golden Bucks.

Goals by Kris Tracy, Drew McMillan and Seth Mayo rounded out the scoring. Chad Smith made four saves on seven shots.

For the 0-1 Bucks, Luke Grindle scored unassisted and Trevor Stevens had 10 saves on 22 shots.

JV: Ellsworth 3-0
