BANGOR – Katie Lindemann netted two goals and two assists as the Hampden Academy girls soccer team shut down Bangor and earned a 4-0 win Wednesday in high school action.
Erin Campbell and Kim Stevenson chipped in with a goal apiece for the 1-0 Broncos. Laura Martin added an assist and Emmy Russell made two saves on two shots.
Katherine Miller stopped 15 of the 20 shots she faced for the 0-1 Rams.

Penquis 5, Central 0
At Milo, Erin Beasley scored one goal and assisted on two more and the Patriots outshot the Red Devils 72-0 en route to the win.
Brooke Hamlin tallied a goal and an assist while April Allen, Megan Russell and Kate Hamlin added goals for 2-0 Penquis. Ashley Pelletier and Nicole Nason split time in net but were untested.
Nicole Daniel made 30 saves on 72 shots for 0-2 Central of Corinth.
Old Town 6, Foxcroft 0
At Dover-Foxcroft, Meghan King banged home three goals to lead the 2-0 Indians to the win.
Sharlene Grenier, Hannah Marquis and Jen Higgins had a goal each for the winners. Mallory Brown made three saves on 13 shots.
Darcy McCormick and Katie Walsh combined on 27 saves off 11 shots for the 0-2 Ponies.
Nokomis 6, Brewer 1
At Newport, Michelle Murray netted three goals as the Warriors cruised to the win.
Danielle Clark, Delanie Farnham and Amy Preble each added a goal. Amy Paradis and Jenna Buotte chipped in with an assist apiece and Sara Lowe made eight saves on nine shots for 1-1 Nokomis.
Rachel Wing scored for the 1-1 Witches and Stephanie Dickey made eight saves on 18 shots.
Ellsworth 2, Orono 1
At Orono, Sarah Silsby scored both Ellsworth goals to power the Eagles.
Nicole Bedard added an assist for 1-0-1 Ellsworth. Victoria Jones made seven saves on 10 shots.
Molly Dupere scored the 0-2 Red Riots’ loan goal. Joelle Klingerman and Marie Lint combined to save eight of 12 shots.
Schenck 10, Penobscot Valley 3
At East Millinocket, Sarah Gordon knocked in four goals to power the Wolverines.
Laura Davis scored two goals and added an assist for 1-1 Schenck. Jessica Day chipped in with two goals. Jessica Day and Lindsey Nicholson added a goal apiece and Megan Carey stopped five of the 10 shots she faced.
Megan Cyr paced the 0-2 Howlers of Howland with two goals. Sharon Drost added another goal and Kylie McGinn made 19 saves on 32 shots.
John Bapst 8, Hermon 0
At Bangor, Julie Crotty and Rebecca Stevens scored twice apiece as John Bapst improved to 2-0.
Ashley Cluff, Katie Sturgeon, Tedda Yeo and Meghan Sekera also found the back of the net for John Bapst and Sturgeon also had an assist as did Sekera and Katie Rice.
Alex Waring made eight saves on 10 shots for the Crusaders while Shannon Dobbins made six stops on 21 shots for 1-1 Hermon.

Bucksport 8, MDI 0
At Mt. Desert, Elissa Gordon and Jessie Taylor each had hat tricks as the Golden Bucks soared.
Alice Andrews and Jill Richards banged home a goal each. Jill’s older sister Jana made six saves on eight shots.
Sarah Johnson and Trina Smith combined to make five saves on 16 shots for the Trojans.

Field hockey
Mattanawcook 2, Stearns 2 (2OT)
At Millinocket, Courtney Gulesian’s game-tying goal early in the second half helped the Lynx get the tie.
Laura Morse scored the other goal for 0-0-1 Mattanawcook of Lincoln. Sara McCormick stopped 10 of 16 shots.
Jenna Hartung and Holly Frank scored the goals for the 1-0-1 Minutemen. Becca Saucier made eight saves on 10 shots.

Belfast 3, Camden Hills 0
At Belfast, goalies Tash Scott and Amanda Littlefield combined on the shutout as the Lions topped the Windjammers.
Ashley Bryant and Sarah Skinner contributed a goal and an assist apiece for 1-0 Belfast. Jen Jackson scored off assists from Kate Gale and Ann Berry. Scott and Littlefield saved all three shots they faced.
Becky McCrohan made nine saves on 12 shots for 0-1 Camden Hills.
