HAMPDEN – The Bucksport Golden Bucks had two players rush for more than 100 yards as the Golden Bucks raced past the Hampden Academy Broncos 48-14 in high school football action Friday night.
Bucksport evened its record at 1-1 with a convincing win over the Broncos.
Warren Chase rushed for 120 yards on 11 carries and three touchdowns while Rusty Ames scored twice and ran the ball 12 times for 110 yards.
Chris Woodman scored two fourth quarter touchdowns for Belfast and Kyle Milan led the Golden Bucks defense with 10 solo tackles.
Tristan Grover had 107 yards rushing on 21 carries for 0-2 Hampden. Brian Groshon scored on a one-yard plunge and Joey Dionne hauled in a 20-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Richardson.
Kyle Dalton had 12 tackles for the Broncos.

At Mount Desert, Kevin Armstrong scored on a 5-yard run on third-and-goal in overtime, lifting the Tigers to victory in a seesaw LTC game.
Mount Desert Island had the ball first in overtime, but Vinny Greene recovered a Trojan fumble at the goal line.
Armstrong carried 11 times for 81 yards, posting an 11-yard touchdown run, to pace Dexter. He also registered 22 tackles.
Adam Russell scored on runs of 21 and 10 runs for the Tigers, while Vinny Greene completed 5 of 8 passes for 69 yards.
John Lewis piled up 162 yards on 30 carries, including TD runs of 15 and 4 yards, to lead MDI. Brian Alley had 60 yards rushing and 3 carries for 33 yards. Travis Tripp passed for 79 yards, including a 31-yard scoring strike to Ryan Stillwell. He also had 11 tackles.

At Orono, Jason Mishou rushed for 190 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries as the Red Riots won their second straight.
Mishou’s touchdown run covered 76 yards. Ben Briggs (14 carries, 72 yards) had TD runs of nine and two yards. Lance Cowan scored on a 15-yard run for Orono and Ryan Levesque was a perfect four-for-four on extra points.
Josh Keefe hit Zach Cushman and Pat Healey on scoring passes of 28 and 13 yards, respectively, for the Crusaders of Bangor. Alex Rand scored on a 12-yard run.

Mike Curtis led the Tigers with a two-yard TD run. He also ran back a kickoff 80 yards for a score.

At Victory Field in Old Town, the Lynx broke a fourth-quarter tie on a 38-yard run by Chris Kyes with 8:28 left.
Matt Avery blocked a field-goal try for Old Town with two minutes left, setting up the hosts’ final drive. The Lynx stopped the Indians at the 6-yard line to seal the win.
Jon Carney put the Lynx on the board with a one-yard run. Old Town tied the game with 11:36 to play on a 78-yard dash by Roger Cole, who finished with 14 carries for 105 yards. Tyler Gardner led the Lynx with 18 carries for 73 yards.
Adam Sokoloski made 11 tackles for the Indians. Tom Roscow led the Lynx with five tackles and a sack.

At Lewiston, Mike LeClair’s 29-yard field goal in the fourth quarter gave the Blue Devils the margin of victory.
LeClair also booted two extra points for Lewiston, which got two TDs from Brandon Kyajohnian, a 16-yard pass reception and a 74-yard scamper.
Justin Walker paced Lawrence of Fairfield with scoring runs of 85 and 17 yards.

At Oakland, kicker Eric Castonguay accounted for more than half of Messalonskee’s offense as the Eagles upended the Vikings.
Castonguay pulled the Eagles within 7-3 with a 39-yard field goal in the first quarter, provided the conversion kick after Matt Workman’s one-yard TD plunge in the second, then capped Messalonskee’s scoring with a 33-yard boot in the third.
Oxford Hills scored first on an 18-yard Tyler Wilson-to-Jeff Austin TD pass. The Vikings added two points in the fourth on a safety.
