GUILFORD – Josh Herrick scored on a penalty kick and set up two more scores to power the Piscataquis Pirates to a 4-1 schoolboy soccer win over Foxcroft Academy on Monday.
Kyle Pulkkinen and Harper Hoffman each scored a goal off a Herrick assist. Ryan Bush contributed another goal. Brandon Jones stopped 10 of 20 shots for Piscataquis.
Josh Chase scored off an assist from Pat Lizotte for the Ponies. Matt Hackett made 18 saves on 32 shots.

At Blue Hill, Kollin Drinkert scored a goal for 2-0-1 Mount Desert Island, helping give the Trojans the win.
Da Chang added a goal while Liam McSweeney recorded two assists, and Bill Crawford made four saves on nine shots.
James Friend faced 16 shots and stopped 10 for 2-3 George Stevens Academy.

Brewer 1, Hampden 1 (2OT)
At Pendleton Street Complex in Brewer, Zach Bouzan-Kaloustian’s penalty kick with 22 seconds left in the first half deflected in off the goalie with an inch or so to spare to help Brewer salvage the tie.
Mike King made 11 saves on 14 shots for the 1-2-1 Witches.
Jake Cohen scored Hampden’s lone goal with 16 minutes left in the first half off a Don Martin assist. Eric Libby made three saves on seven shots for the 1-1-1 Broncos.

Old Town 1, Orono 1 (2OT)
At Orono, Matt Petrie scored unassisted for Old Town while Aloysha Klose scored on an assist from Branislav Srnka.
Tyler Tracewski made nine saves on 10 shots for 2-0-1 Old Town while Mike Merritt stopped four of five for the 1-2-2 Red Riots.

Central 4, DI-Stonington 3 (OT)
At Corinth, Joe Allen’s goal with 2:12 remaining in the first overtime gave the Red Devils the win over the Mariners.
Blake Goodwin set up the goal with a pass into the middle in front of the goal and Allen followed a brief scramble with a shot that found the back of the net.
Seth Strout scored on a penalty kick, and Chris Parker and Nat Libby added goals for 2-1-1 Central. Adam Allen saved eight of 16 shots.
Bennett Gray scored two goals and Josh Bolton’s goal with 11 minutes left sent the match into overtime. Chris Gross made 13 saves on 24 shots for 1-3 Deer Isle-Stonington.
John Bapst 2, Penquis 1
At Bangor, Zev Myerowitz scored the winning goal for 4-0 John Bapst with 2:30 remaining in the game with an assist from James Strout.
Colby Theriault added a goal with an assist from Bryan Snyder, while Billy Chapman saved 14 of 24 shots.
Ben Knapp scored an unassisted goal for 3-1 Penquis of Milo while Kevin Nason made 20 saves on 31 shots.
Bangor 2, Nokomis 0
At Newport, Jeff Oertel scored one goal and assisted on another to lead the Rams past the Warriors.
An Oertel corner kick was headed in by Kyle Cutshall for Bangor’s first goal in the first half. Oertel converted a high cross from Ryan Jeffrey for the second-half goal. Payson Nichols notched the shutout for 2-1 Bangor.
Erik Gardner was in goal for 0-3 Nokomis.

At Newport, Mandy Foss scored both goals to give 1-2 Nokomis the win.
Morgan Randlett and Ashley MacKenzie both recorded assists while Brandy Davis made four saves on five shots.
Chrissy Beal scored unassisted for Hampden while Hannah Chieme faced 20 shots and stopped 18.

John Bapst 2, Bangor 1
At Bangor, Sarah Stratton scored both goals for 1-2 John Bapst, leading the Crusaders to victory.
Megan Gekeler and Ann Sullivan each had assists while Julia Sleeper made 10 saves on 14 shots.
Ashley Leen scored unassisted for 1-2 Bangor while Frankee Waldron stopped 14 of 23 shots.

At Old Town, Sarah Metivier knocked in two goals to spark the Indians.
Liz Saucier chipped in with a goal and Abby Richard added an assist. Emelie Richard made three saves on three shots for 2-0 Old Town.
Hilary Ohmart stopped 12 of 15 saves for the 0-3 Witches.

Houlton Chr. 4, Highview Chr. 1
At Charleston, Sara Wallace scored four goals for Houlton Christian in the opener for both teams.
Amanda and Meredith Jago had assists for Houlton Christian while Megan Jago made five saves on nine shots.
Carissa Cary scored an unassisted goal for the Knights. Dani Day and Lauren Plourde combined to stop 15 of 23 shots.
Schenck 3, Dexter 2 (2OT)
At East Millinocket, Sarah Gordon’s unassisted goal off a kick to the right side from 6 yards out went in with 4:45 left in double overtime to give Schenck the win.
Kayla Hathaway and Beth Chasse each scored goals on Gordon assists for the 2-1 Wolverines. Megan Carey saved nine of 11 shots.
Lindsay Turner scored twice, once on an Ashley Steward assist, for the 2-1 Tigers. Daphne Robichaud made 12 saves on 19 shots.
Carrabec 2, Mt. Abram 1 (2OT)
At North Anson, Jillian Manzer scored the winning goal with four minutes remaining in the second overtime, leading 3-1 Carrabec to victory.
Manzer also scored the first goal with Kristina Williams had the assist on the winning goal. Megan Carbone made six saves on seven shots.
Kali Lander scored unassisted for 1-3 Mount Abram while Sara Martin faced eight shots and stopped six.
