DYER BROOK – Adam Worster knocked in a penalty kick with seven minutes left in the second half to give the Washburn Beavers a 2-1 boys soccer victory over Southern Aroostook on Monday.

Isaac Carrier added a goal for 7-4-1 Washburn off an assist from Trevor Thibodeau. Jesse Maynard made 11 saves on 12 shots.

Jon Holman scored for the 2-5-1 Warriors. Jarred Grant added an assist and Zac Philibert made 12 saves on 14 shots.

Narraguagus 3, Woodland 0

At Woodland, Mike Beal scored once in each half to pace the Knights past the Dragons.

Beal also assisted on Derek Lapoint’s second-half goal. Eric Peltier made 10 saves on 22 shots for 2-2 Narraguagus of Harrington.

Goalkeeper Aaron Moody made 10 saves on 26 shots for 0-4 Woodland.

Machias 2, Jonesport-Beals 0

At Machias, Joe Richards netted two goals as the Bulldogs shut out the Royals.

Matt Edwards contributed an assist for 3-0 Machias and Marcus Frutchey made two saves on two shots.

Abraham Beal stopped 14 of 16 shots for 0-3 Jonesport-Beals.

Wisdom 5, Easton 1

At St. Agatha, Andrew Gervais scored four goals for the 4-7 Pioneers.

Brandon Berce added a goal, while Aaron Gervais recorded three assists and Dustin Lugdon had two. Kenny Corriveau stopped five of six shots for Wisdom.

For 1-10-1 Easton, Joe King scored with an assist from Brandon Carlow, and Kyle Wells had 18 saves on 32 shots.

Cent. Aroostook 4, Katahdin 1

At Mars Hill, Jeff Clockedile and Bryan Grew each scored unassisted goals for 6-4-2 Central Aroostook.

Arli Wiggins scored with an assist from Jason Rob Collins while Jake Delano scored on a pass from Jason Tapley. John Boyd made six saves on eight shots, including a stopped penalty kick in the first half.

For 0-6 Katahdin of Sherman Station, Derrick Hanson scored with an assist from Mark Martin while Nat Nehrhoss faced 31 shots and stopped 22.

Fort Fairfield 2, Hodgdon 1

At Hodgdon, Eric Tornquist and Jacob Chambers each scored unassisted goals for 7-2-2 Fort Fairfield to give them the win.

Ryan Babin stopped 10 of the 17 shots he faced for the Tigers.

Zach Good made 13 saves on 29 shots for 3-7 Hodgdon.

JV: Fort Fairfield 5-0

Calais 3, Washington Academy 0

At East Machias, Andy Frost scored two goals to lead 2-1 Calais to the win.

Russ McLean had an assist while James MacDonald scored on a pass from Chris LaPointe. Nathan Pelletier made 15 saves on 21 shots.

For 1-2 Washington Academy, Jared Gray and Jason Labonte combined for seven saves on 11 shots.

Fort Kent 4, Madawaska 1

At Madawaska, Anthony Lamarr scored two goals and had an assist for Fort Kent.

Ben Bouchard and Cody Daigle each had goals while James Raymond had two assists. Ethan Raymond added an assist while Nick Thibeau made 10 saves on 14 shots.

For 4-3-2 Madawaska, Miles Morneault scored on a pass form Josh Michaud while Steve Soucy faced 24 shots and stopped 10.

Girls soccer

Washburn 4, So. Aroostook 3

At Dyer Brook, Carrie McLaughlin put in a penalty kick with 2:24 left in overtime to lift the Beavers past the Warriors.

Amber Blakney’s goal with 10:49 left in regulation tied the game. Kristi Kelley added an early goal off an assist from Heidi Goodine. McLaughlin added an assist and Morgan Sickles made six saves on 12 shots for 2-8-2 Washburn.

Mindy Watson tallied two goals and Holly Toothaker added another for 0-6 Southern Aroostook. Makenzie Hardy has an assist and Crystal Cameron stopped 12 of 25 shots.

Wisdom 8, Easton 0

At St. Agatha, Christa Lizotte scored three goals and the Pioneers outshot the Bears 46-7 in the win.

Kristen Marquis chipped in with two goals and two assists. Heather Anderson scored a goal and added two assists. Cindy Chamberlain and Jessica Collins each put in a goal for Wisdom (5-6). Shannon Berube made six saves.

Jessica Littlefield, Toni Ladner, Stephanie Burde and Nina Alexander combined for 19 saves for Easton (2-8-2).

Central Aroostook 1, Katahdin 0

At Mars Hill, Jenna Robinson scored the winning goal for Central Aroostook 26 minutes into the first half with an assist from Gabrielle Smith.

Chantal Gagnon faced nine shots and stopped 10 for the 8-2-1 Panthers.

For 2-1-2 Katahdin of Sherman Station, Mindy Libby made nine saves on 11 shots.

FF Tigers 2, Hodgdon 1 (2OT)

At Hodgdon, Brittany McLaughlin scored the winning goal unassisted for 2-9-1 Fort Fairfield with 1:17 remaining in the second overtime.

Brittney Guiou had an unassisted goal while Kaylee Searles made 13 saves on 19 shots.

Shanna McGary scored with an assist from Jamie Nightengale while Lindsay Stewart faced 13 shots and stopped eight for 3-5-2 Hodgdon.

Houlton 1, Caribou 0

At Caribou, Hannah Socoby scored the winning goal unassisted for 5-2-1 Houlton 7:52 into the game.

Anna Lenentine made four saves on nine shots for the Shiretowners.

For 1-5 Caribou, Leah Drew stopped six of 12 shots.

Houlton Chr. 4, Highview Chr. 1

At Charleston, Sara Wallace scored four goals for Houlton Christian in the opener for both teams.

Amanda and Meredith Jago had assists for Houlton Christian while Megan Jago made five saves on nine shots.

Carissa Cary scored an unassisted goal for the Knights. Dani Day and Lauren Plourde combined to stop 15 of 23 shots.
