MILBRIDGE – AARP will offer the 55 Alive safe driving program from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, and Friday, Sept. 28, at the Milbridge Town Hall on School Street.
The eight-hour course addresses the physical changes that may affect driving ability when a person reaches 55. Participants will go over the current driving manual to refresh and update their knowledge about driving regulations.
There will be no driving or written test to pass. Those who complete the class will receive a three-year certificate that may allow for discounts from several automobile insurance companies. Participants should check with their insurance agents for more information.
Cost of the course is $10 to cover materials and is payable on the first day of class. To register, call Paul Thompson at 497-5694. Sponsors are the Union Trust Bank, town of Milbridge and Eastern Agency on Aging.
