The news media are continually stating how sophisticated and well-financed these terrorists must be to have been able to succeed in causing these horrific attacks; there recently was a documentary that featured information on how terrorist groups today are now mostly financed by illegal drugs. This program also mentioned how Americans are the No. 1 consumers of such drugs.

What can we do to stop this from happening again? Other than the necessary security measures that will need to happen, one of the ways that cannot be overlooked and should be stated in all news media, schools and billboards is this:

Where is your American dollar going when you purchase that “one-time thrill” or “temporary illusion”? Is it going to support and finance another series of attacks? How would you feel if your American dollars spent on drugs have helped support these groups?

If you know someone who is addicted, please find help for them with a rehabilitation program. The boycott of the use of illegal drugs is one sure step in stopping the financing of these groups.
