Cadenzato, the newest University of Maine faculty chamber ensemble, will perform its first concert of literature for winds, piano, strings and percussion at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.

The performance will take place in Minsky Recital Hall, Class of 1944 Hall, on campus. Tickets are $5 and available by calling the Maine Center for the Arts box office at 581-1755.

Cadenzato, meaning “rhythmical,” will perform works of Brahms and Wiemann, as well as William Walton’s “Facade.” Members of the chamber ensemble are flutist Elizabeth Downing; Beth Wiemann, clarinet; Joshua Whitehouse, trumpet; Patrick Bolin, saxophone; cellist Noreen Silver; Stuart Marrs, percussion; and narrator Ludlow Hallman.
