SOUTH CHINA – Heidi Andrews blasted in an Ali Ross pass two minutes, 13 seconds into overtime Saturday to lift Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield to a 2-1 field hockey victory over Erskine Academy.

Kerri George scored on a penalty stroke for the 4-1 Huskies. Amanda Quint picked off nine of 10 Eagle attempts.

Erskine Academy’s Kelsy Cloutier sent the game into overtime when she converted assists from Crystal French and Katie Mainville with no time remaining in regulation. Mary Tibbetts made 12 saves on 14 shots as the Eagles dipped to 2-2.

JV: Erskine 1-0

Nokomis 3, Bangor 0

At Bangor, Gill Snow, Ashley Mackenzie and Mandi Foss each racked up an unassisted goal as Nokomis of Newport triumphed.

Brandi Davis and Kirsten Gould combined to stop all six shots they faced.

For 1-4 Bangor, Frankee Waldron registered 16 saves on 26 shots.

JV: Nokomis 1-0

Foxcroft 1, Hampden 0 (OT)

At Hampden, Katherine Lumino scored the only goal of the game almost four minutes into overtime as she redirected a pass from Chrissy Beal right in front of the net before the goalie could block it.

Megan Ryder saved 11 of 17 shots for 3-1-1 Foxcroft Academy.

Jennifer Hessert made eight saves on 10 shots for 2-3 Hampden Academy.

JV: Foxcroft 1-0

Belfast 2, Mount View 0

At Belfast, goalkeeper Tash Scott stopped all nine shots she faced as the Lions stifled the Mustangs.

For 4-0 Belfast, Jen Jackson and Morgan Crandall had goals and Sarah Skinner and Ashley Bryant chipped in with assists.

For 3-1 Mount View of Thorndike, Meagan Carmen made seven saves on nine shots.

JV: Belfast 3-2

Old Town 3, Mattanawcook 2

At Old Town, Kendall Tracewski notched a goal and an assist to lift Old Town to its fourth win without a loss.

Kasey Spencer and Sarah Metivier had goals and Liz Saucier contributed an assist. Emelie Richard stopped two of the four shots she faced.

Ali Keegan and Catherine Kenney scored for MA.
