BANGOR – Nicole Palmer scored a goal in each half to spark the Husson College Braves to a 4-2 field hockey victory over Lassell Saturday.

Amanda Brown and Nola Boynton scored a goal each for 2-0 Husson, while Jen Comeau chipped in with an assist. Shani Hollins made three saves on five shots.

Natalie Jablokov and Heidi Hanna scored the goals for 0-3 Lasell College of Newton, Mass. Nerissa Tucker made nine saves on 18 shots.

Thomas 5, Lasell 3

At Waterville Sunday, Meredith Arute and Erin Lovely each netted two goals as the Terriers prevailed.

Dawn Holland added a goal and three assists for Thomas. Dee Kelly stopped two of eight shots.

Jill Dionne, Julie Losordo and Natalie Jablokov provided goals for Lasell of Newton, Mass.

Colby 4, Wesleyan 2

At Waterville Saturday, Lyndsay Peters scored twice as the White Mules improved to 2-0.

Becca Bruce and Injoo Han also scored for the winners. Carrie Torrisi saved six of 10 shots.

Laura Pfeiffenberger and Sonya Behnke provided the scoring for 0-2 Wesleyan. Lindsay Wasseman made six saves on 12 shots.

Southern Maine 2, Westfield 1

At Westfield, Mass., Saturday, Sasha Ilkovich racked up a pair of goals to propel Southern Maine past Westfield State.

For the 3-1 Huskies, Liza Barker logged an assist while goalie Jessie Superchi stopped three of the six shots she faced.

For the 1-3 Owls, Theresa Yacovone scored on a pass from Sara Monahan. Jill Annunciata made eight saves on 14 shots.

Saint Joseph’s 1, Simmons 0

At Boston Sunday, Tara Gagnon fired a pass from Ariel Morrison into the back of the net at the 51-minute mark to lift Saint Joseph’s of Standish to the win.

Laura Lombardi stopped all 15 shots she faced as the Monks upped their mark to 2-2.

Simmons fell to 1-2 despite limiting Saint Joseph’s to two shots and holding a 10-2 advantage in penalty corners.
