OLD TOWN – Kendall Tracewski notched a goal and an assist to lift the Old Town Indians to a 3-2 schoolgirl field hockey victory over the Mattanawcook Academy Lynx Saturday.

Kasey Spencer and Sarah Metivier had goals and Liz Saucier contributed an assist. Emelie Richard stopped two of the four shots for the 4-0 winners.

Ali Keegan and Catherine Kenney registered unassisted goals for 1-3-1 Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln. Fara McCormick turned away seven of 10 shots.

JV: Mattanawcook 3-0

MCI 2, Erskine 1

At South China, Heidi Andrews blasted in an Ali Ross pass two minutes, 13 seconds into overtime to lift Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield to the win.

Kerri George scored on a penalty stroke for the 4-1 Huskies. Amanda Quint picked off nine of 10 Eagle attempts.

Erskine Academy’s Kelsy Cloutier sent the game into overtime when she converted assists from Crystal French and Katie Mainville with no time remaining in regulation. Mary Tibbetts made 12 saves on 14 shots as the Eagles dipped to 2-2.

JV: Erskine 1-0

Foxcroft 1, Hampden 0 (OT)

At Hampden, Katherine Lumino scored the only goal of the game almost four minutes into overtime as she redirected a pass from Chrissy Beal right in front of the net before the goalie could block it.

Megan Ryder saved 11 of 17 shots for 3-1-1 Foxcroft Academy.

Jennifer Hessert made eight saves on 10 shots for 2-3 Hampden Academy.

JV: Foxcroft 1-0

Nokomis 3, Bangor 0

At Bangor, Gill Snow, Ashley Mackenzie and Mandi Foss each racked up an unassisted goal as Nokomis of Newport triumphed.

Brandi Davis and Kirsten Gould combined to stop all six shots they faced.

For 1-4 Bangor, Frankee Waldron registered 16 saves on 26 shots.

JV: Nokomis 1-0

Belfast 2, Mount View 0

At Belfast, goalkeeper Tash Scott stopped all nine shots she faced as the Lions stifled the Mustangs.

For 4-0 Belfast, Jen Jackson and Morgan Crandall had goals and Sarah Skinner and Ashley Bryant chipped in with assists.

For 3-1 Mount View of Thorndike, Meagan Carmen made seven saves on nine shots.

JV: Belfast 3-2

Hermon 1, Brewer 0

Erin Lucey scored on a Noelle O’Clair assist 121/2 minutes into the contest, giving the Hawks the margin of victory.

Natalie Bell made 12 saves on 12 shots for 2-3 Hermon.

Joni Norjean made nine saves on 10 shots for 0-5 Brewer.

Girls soccer

Bucksport 2, Fort Kent 1

At Bucksport, Jessie Taylor and Elissa Gordon both tallied a goal and an assist as the Golden Bucks edged the Warriors.

Taylor’s score at the 16:51 mark of the second half proved to be the difference. Jana Richards stopped five of eight shots for 5-0-1 Bucksport.

For 3-6-1 Fort Kent, Becca Soucy registered a goal on a feed from Gabrielle Cyr. Heather Hartman turned back 12 of 27 shots.

JV: Bucksport 2-0

Nokomis 2, Caribou 0

At Caribou, Michelle Murray and Lindsey Welch garnered a goal apiece to lift Nokomis of Newport.

Danielle Clark assisted Welch’s score. Aime Paradis made 11 saves on 12 shots.

For Caribou, Leah Drew stopped 26 of 30 Nokomis attempts.

Presque Isle 3, Brewer 2 (OT)

At Brewer, Heidi Ayotte scored two goals, including the game-winner with two minutes left in overtime, to lift the 7-1-1 Wildcats to victory.

Jessie Miller scored off an assist from Anna Delaney. Melissa DeMerchant was the goalkeeper.

Stacie Bean scored twice for the 1-3 Witches, including the game-tying penalty kick. Stephanie Dickey was in net.

JV: Presque Isle 3-0

Central 9, Highview Chr. 2

At Charleston, Nicky Logue and Crystal Parker each scored two goals as the 1-3 Red Devils of Corinth rolled.

Caitlin Kekacs, Nicole Richards, Jamie Lawrence, Julie MacDonald, and Lindsay Mitchell provided goals for Central.

Linda Pereira and Carissa Cary had goals for 0-3 Charleston Christian. Sherry Cooper stopped 13 of 31 shots.

Sumner 4, BC Pats 4 (2OT)

At East Sullivan, Monique Veilleux tied the game for the Patriots with 6:07 to play, and the two teams battled to a double-overtime tie.

Heather Niles put in two goals, including one on a direct kick. Becky Fortier scored on a direct kick for 0-3-1 Bangor Christian. Kendil Snow made six saves on 12 shots.

Liz Brunton scored twice for the 2-2-1 Tigers. Ellen Beattie had a goal and an assist and Brittany Dunbar added a goal. Hillary Page made eight saves on 11 shots.

Old Town 2, Bangor 0

At Bangor, Malory Brown and Meghan King socked a goal each to pace the Indians.

Hannah Marquis pitched in with an assist as Old Town improved to 4-0-2. Whitney Carey had five saves on six shots for the shutout.

For the 2-2-0 Rams, Katherine Miller totaled 13 saves on 20 shots.

Boys soccer

Caribou 6, Nokomis 1

At Caribou, Joel Griffeth and Tyler Giles each tallied two goals and an assist as the Vikings topped the Warriors.

Mike Hofmann and Ben Cyr chipped in with goals and Ben Wakana doled out an assist as Caribou improved to 5-2-1. Nick Chasse turned back 13 of 17 shots fired his way.

Justin Veazie tallied the lone goal for Nokomis of Newport. Mike Jacques recorded 14 saves on 25 shots. JV: Nokomis 3-2

DI-Stonington 4, J-Beals 1

At Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Josh Bolton scored two goals to lead the Mariners to victory.

Brady Ballow and Evan Haskell each had a goal and assist for 2-4 Deer Isle-Stonington. Chris Gross stopped nine of 12 shots.

For the 1-4 Royals, Martin Alley scored off an assist from Matt Merchant. Abraham Beal turned away 10 of 20 shots.

Penquis 3, Lee 1

At Lee, Tony Joyce, Justin Allen and Steve Kissell scored goals as the 4-1 Patriots of Milo prevailed.

Kevin Mason made nine saves on 15 shots.

Dustin Pickering had the goal for the 4-2-1 Pandas. Adam Ham stopped 21 of 25 shots.

Mount View 6, Erskine 2

At Thorndike, Morey Hallett scored three goals to spark the Mustangs to victory.

Rick Malady notched a goal and two assists and Marc McCorrison had a goal and an assist for 3-1 Mount View. Brien Flewelling had the other goal and Hank Mattson added an assist.

Dan Pellerin and Alex Mitchell combined to make five saves on 14 shots.

For 1-2-1 Erskine Academy of South China, Matt Donar and Chris Mitchell scored the goals with Sam Powell and Ben Powell providing assists. Kevin Haskell and Brandon Pelkey combined for 13 saves on 27 shots.

Central 1, Sumner 1 (2OT)

At East Sullivan, Central’s Adam Allen booted in a Chris Parker pass at the 19:58 mark of the second half to tie the game and end the scoring.

Paul LaKing made 15 saves on 24 shots for the Red Devils of Corinth.

For Sumner, Jonathan Kidder netted a goal and Blake Alley had an assist. Jason Guest stopped 15 of 25 shots.

Penobscot Valley 2, GSA 0

At Blue Hill, Dustin Nicholson netted two goals as Penobscot Valley of Howland stopped George Stevens Academy.

Garrett Lavertu contributed an assist for the 4-1-1 Howlers. Lance Pelkey made eight saves on 15 shots.

For the 3-4 Eagles, James Friend turned away two of four shots.

MDI 1, Ellsworth 0

At Mount Desert, Kollin Drinkert booted home a Kyle Jones feed with eight minutes remaining in the game to give the Trojans the edge.

Adam Thurston made four saves on eight shots for 3-0-2 MDI.

For 3-1-1 Ellsworth, Chad Smith logged four saves on seven shots.
