Caribou’s senior midfielder came up with five goals and three assists in four soccer games last week as he helped lead the Vikings to a 3-0-1 record.

Small School (Classes C-D)

The senior tailback for the Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield football team ran the ball 26 times for 313 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-18 win over John Bapst Saturday.

Girls

Big School (Classes A-B)

Whitney Carey

Old Town’s sophomore soccer goalie earned shutouts against Bangor and Orono as her Indians went 2-0-1 last week. Carey has given up one goal in six games this season.

Small School (Classes C-D)

Amanda Martin

Ashland’s senior striker, with one goal and three assists in her last three soccer games – all wins – as she broke the school girls career records for goals (50) and points (73), previously held by Heidi Maker (49 and 69).
