UNITY – Rick Kelley’s goal with 1:05 left in the game lifted the Thomas College Terriers to a 1-0 men’s soccer victory over the Unity College Rams Wednesday.
Ryan Conley made six saves on 10 shots for Thomas of Waterville. Travis Coutlee turned away wight of 11 s hots for Unity.
Bates 4, St. Joseph’s 0
At Lewiston, Anthony Silva notched a goal and assist as the Bobcats prevailed.
Drew Weymouth, Brian Luoma and Terence O’Connell added goals for 2-2-4 Bates. Dan Spector and Chris Mansfield combined to make six saves.
Nick Wallace and Jeff Yaeger combined for 12 saves for the 3-1 Monks.
Field hockey
Bowdoin 1, Bates 0
At Lewiston, Jackie Templeton scored an unassisted goal with 4:44 left, lifting Bowdoin to victory.
Gillian McDonald made six saves on 11 shots for the 5-0 Polar Bears.
Lindsay Gary made nine saves on 12 shots for 0-4 Bates.
Women’s soccer
Colby 2, UM-Farmington 1
At Farmington, Caitlin Krause scored the game-winner off a pass from Katie Egan as the White Mules downed the Beavers.
Christine O’Donnell scored the equalizer with 56 seconds remaining in regulation for the winners of Waterville. Elizabeth Riley stopped two of six shots.
Shannon Mailhot scored off an assist from Richelle Dube with 2:26 remaining for UM-Farmington. Alyson Pontbriand made 13 saves on 21 shots.
