OLD TOWN – Jeremy Stormann ran for three touchdowns and passed for another to power the Old Town Indians to a 40-6 high school football victory over the Windham Eagles Friday night.

Stormann had a pair of 4-yard scores along with a 5-yard run. Adam Sokolowski’s 40-yard run and Stormann’s 4-yard pass to Roger Cole capped the scoring for the Indians. Stormann finished with nine rushes for 44 yards and five completions on eight pass attempts for 47 yards. Cole led all rushers with 19 carries for 108 yards.

Justin Barnes added the other Indian score as the 6-foot-6, 290-pound defensive lineman snagged an interception and carried it 70 yards for the touchdown.

Windham’s fourth-quarter score came on a 9-yard pass from Nate Canfijn to Jon Poulin. Canfijn completed six of 29 pass attempts for 83 yards.

Justin Barnes led the Indian defense with seven tackles, including four for a loss, an interception for a touchdown, and one blocked punt. Adam Conley led the Ramblers with eight tackles.

Morse 42, Hampden 6

At Hampden, the Shipbuilders got off to their first 4-0 start since 1972 when the team went undefeated and won the Class B state championship.

Morse scored 35 unanswered points through three quarters, including two touchdowns from captain Adam McCallen.

“We couldn’t have done this without the line,” said McCallen. “They did their job and we were able to move the ball well.”

Hampden, now 0-4, broke onto the scoreboard with its first play in the fourth quarter on a 51-yard pass from Even Thomas to Joey Dionne. Garrett Bergey and Eric King led the Hampden defense with nine and 10 tackles, respectively.

The Broncos played without a laundry list of players, including three starters out with injuries ranging from a broken leg to a broken thumb.

“When we come completely ready to play I know we’ll be unbeatable,” said Thomas. “Things just haven’t been able to come together yet.”

At Lincoln, Matt Malone’s 26-yard field goal with 10:20 left in the game gave the Lynx the win over the Huskies.

Jon Carney had opened the scoring for Mattanawcook Academy when he hauled in a 46-yard pass from quarterback Dustin Hanscom in the third quarter.

Hanscom finished the game with two completions on three attempts for 58 yards. Carney made both receptions. Cory Tash carried nine times for 45 yards while Tyler Gardner picked up 51 yards on seven carries. Tyler Libbey had 12 tackles and Gardner picked off a pass for the Lynx.

Mike Broccio scored on a 2-yard run for Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield. Ryan Bennett ran in the two-point conversion.

At Gardiner, Cody DeGuzman scored on a 25-yard run in the first quarter and Matt Hilton converted a 27-yard run in the second to pace Waterville.

Jordan Stebbins recorded a touchdown on a 1-yard run for Gardiner.

At Farmington, Matt Waite charged into the end zone three times as Mt. Blue rolled over Cony of Augusta.

Waite scored on 8-, 3-, and 4-yard runs.

For Cony, Nikolo Nyada ran 89 yards on a kickoff return for a score. He also converted the extra point on both Ram touchdowns.

At Wells, Jeff Parenteau scored three touchdowns and ran for 222 yards on 15 carries to lead the Lions.

After Wells recovered a Belfast fumble on the opening play, Nick Baker completed a 20-yard drive with a 2-yard run for the TD.

Parenteau then scored on a 53-yard run in the first quarter and a 14-yarder in the second quarter as Belfast scored 58 unanswered points. His third TD came on a 39-yard run in the third quarter.

Running back Colby Horne added 114 total yards on four runs, including a 55-yard TD run, and one pass reception for a touchdown.

Also scoring for the Lions were Matt Welch on a 1-yard run, John Lear on a 16-yard run, and Josh Clark on a 23-yard run.

Luke Sibley ran 10 yards and ran in the PAT for Wells’ final score.
