Tiffany, 13, is an outgoing girl with light-brown hair, blue eyes and a winning smile. She is very engaging and easy to converse with. A good student, Tiffany enjoys school and often makes the honor roll.

Especially good in mathematics, Tiffany placed second in the American Math competition when she was in the seventh grade.

This year Tiffany is beginning high school and seems to be enjoying her new routine. She generally gets along well with peers.

A gifted singer, Tiffany sings both in a church choir and in school programs. She enjoys attending the Pentecostal church and is involved in the youth group at her church.

Tiffany enjoys attending and participating in school sports. She has played intramural volleyball and was on the baseball team. She also was manager of a boys basketball team. Tiffany enjoys school dances.

Tiffany is anxious to be part of a family. She looks forward to being in a home where she will not have to move again. Tiffany talks with sadness about having to leave her birth home and now having to leave her foster home. She also relates it will be hard to leave her school, friends and people she cares about in the process of changing families. An adoptive family will need to be sensitive to Tiffany’s feelings during the visitation process.

Tiffany does have a younger sister. Initially, the girls wanted to be adopted together, but due to a lack of response and home studies for the girls, the case worker is considering separating them but would need a family open to allowing the girls to keep in contact. Tiffany would do great in either a single-parent or two-parent family. She is wonderful with younger children but also would do well with children her age or older.

Adoption assistance is available for the most appropriate family. If interested, please call Nancy Price, adoption case worker, Department of Human Services, 396 Griffin Road, Bangor 04401. The telephone numbers are 561-4204 or, toll-free, (800) 432-7825.

Another contact is A Family for Me, Gardiner, 588-0996 or, toll-free, (877) 505-0545.
