CAMDEN – The Institute for Global Ethics has released “Clean Campaigns: How to Promote Candidate Codes of Conduct.”
The field guide, developed by the Institute in partnership with the National Civic League, is intended to help those interested in clean and positive campaigns to get their candidates to voluntarily sign codes of conduct and pledge to refrain from negative, attack-based campaigns. It is developed to help citizens develop and design codes of conduct; establish relationships with the candidates, coalition member groups, and political parties; and promote the resulting codes.
The Institute for Global Ethics (http://www.globalethics.org) is a nonprofit organization promoting ethics through public discourse and practical action. The institute, with offices in Camden and in London, England, was founded in 1990 and is supported by members throughout the world.
