EAST MACHIAS – Kaitlyn Leeman scored four goals and had an assist to lead the Woodland Dragons to an 8-1 schoolgirl soccer win over the Washington Academy Raiders Tuesday.

Alicia Vose had three goals, while Kara Kesel added a goal and Erica Brown chipped in with an assist. Beth Covey made six saves on 10 shots as the Dragons improved to 4-4.

Amy Dowley scored off an assist from Meg Rose and Emily Mawhinney stopped 14 of 26 shots for the 0-5 Raiders.

At Harrington, Jennifer Strout scored with an assist from Missy Barbee, to lead the 5-2 Knights to the win over the Blue Devils.

Linny Barbee added a goal on an assist from Strout while Sarah Snider made six saves on six shots.

Katie Welch stopped four of six shots for 5-1-2 Calais.

Ashland 4, Southern Aroostook 0

At Dyer Brook, Amanda Martin powered in a pair of goals as the Hornets blanked Southern Aroostook.

Caitlin Sherman and Jessica Jacques added goals while Amber Smith, Robin Caron and Beth Chamberlain each had an assist. Kim Oakes stopped 13 of 15 shots for 9-2 Ashland.

For the 0-10 Panthers, Brandi Crandall racked up 16 saves on 20 shots.

At Houlton, Sarah Wallace scored two goals and had two assists for 2-3 Houlton Christian.

At Dover-Foxcroft, Shannon Wiggin faced 12 shots and stopped eight for 1-6-1 Hermon in the tie.

For 2-5-1 Foxcroft Academy Darcy McCormick and Katie Walsh combined for six saves on seven shots.

At Hampden, Tyne Franchi and Jani Bosse tallied two goals apiece as the Broncos cruised to the win.

Kim Stephenson, Katie Lindemann, Erin Campbell, Alex Hedspeth, Laura Martin and Hilary Wilson contributed one goal each. Emmy Russell and Gabby Schrage combined for two saves on two shots.

Sarah Johnson stopped 18 of 32 attempts for Mount Desert Island.

At Bangor, Molly Dupere scored both goals to help the Red Riots knock off undefeated John Bapst.

At Danforth, James Godley scored two goals and assisted on three others as the Vikings rolled by the Hornets.

Rhett Mortland had a goal and an assist and Steve Gray and Darius Parker scored a goal apiece for 5-1 East Grand. Scott Flannery stopped 4-7 shots.

Jordan Hall stopped 17 of 23 shots for 2-6 Lubec.

At Dyer Brook, Bruce Oakes booted an unassisted goal and James Dwyer a goal on a penalty kick to lift Ashland over Southern Aroostook.

Randy Junkins made eight saves on 14 shots for the 5-6-1 Hornets.

For 4-7-1 Southern Aroostook, Zac Philibert recorded 12 saves on 20 shots.

At Greenville, Tyler Muzzy led 7-0-1 Greenville with two goals and an assist.

At Newport, Joel Griffeth had a goal and two assists to lead the Caribou Vikings to the win over Nokomis.

At Milo, the Crusaders jumped out to a 2-0 lead and then held off a comeback bid by the Patriots.

Wes Day and Colby Theriault scored goals for John Bapst of Bangor. Zach Means recorded an assist and Bill Chapman stopped 16 of 23 shots as the Crusaders improved to 8-1.

Justin Allen scored a goal for 5-3-1 Penquis Valley and Mike Grindle made 14 saves on 20 shots.

Carrabec 2, Dirigo 2

At North Anson, Jackson Hunt logged an unassisted goal to tie the game for the Cobras. The game was halted with 12:18 remaining due to the weather.

Hunt also assisted on an Ed Yahn score. John Chretien made five saves on seven shots for 5-1-2 Carrabec.

For 7-0-2 the Cougars of Dixfield, Nate Clark registered a goal and an assist. Brian Haynes added a goal and Corey Wing pitched in with an assist. Derrik Gilbert turned away six of eight shots.
