I have read about the harassment by Jeff Saulnier of the proprietors of the Bahaar Foods Pakistani restaurant in downtown Bangor. There are conflicting statements in the two stories which seem to indicate slanted reporting. I know Jeff and he is a very gentle person and a dedicated father who loves his family.

Jeff has a history of mental health problems and is treated at the Togus VA Hospital but this does not in any way indicate that he would ever be described as a racist or hateful person. I feel the incident was blown out of proportion by the media looking for news in a tragic situation. I am sure when all the facts are known that the restaurant owners misunderstood Jeff and upset him to the point where he was the one who was harassed.
