A senior tailback for Belfast’s undefeated football team, Parenteau rushed for 222 yards and three touchdowns with just 15 carries in a 58-16 Lions’ victory over Wells last Saturday.

Small School (Classes C-D)

Chris Woodman

Just a sophomore playing his first varsity football season, Woodman was called on to be the main ball carrier for Bucksport after the starting tailback was injured. He responded with 96 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 23 carries.

Girls

Big School (Classes A-B)

Meghan Minzy

Minzy, a junior on Fort Kent’s highly-ranked soccer team, had the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win Saturday over previously undefeated Old Town. Her Warriors are now No. 2 in Class B Northeast.

Small School (Classes C-D)

Liz Brunton

Brunton was a scoring machine for Sumner of East Sullivan’s soccer team last week as she had eight goals in an 11-0 win and two more in a 3-2 loss. She also finished second in a cross country meet last Wednesday with a time of 22 minutes, 24 seconds.
