FARMINGTON – Jeff Beck scored the game-winner off a pass from Jeff Meinke as the University of Maine-Farmington Beavers won their fifth straight – 1-0 over Lyndon State of Vermont in men’s soccer action Wednesday.
Mike Hansen made three saves on three shots in getting the shutout.

At Standish, Notre Dame (N.H.) outshot St. Joseph’s 24-6 in posting the shutout.
Zuca Palladino, Frederico Almeida, Barry Fitzgerald and Steve Pieroni scored goals for the winners. Gary Karibian made four saves for the Saints.
Nick Wallace and Jeff Yaeger combined to make six saves for the Monks.

At Waterville, scored first-half goals as the White Mules blanked the Huskies.
Jamie Lye, Mike Ungerer and David Manning added assists for 2-3 Colby to back Andy Danziger, who did not make a save while facing three shots.
Dan Hills made nine saves 24 shots for 2-7-1 USM of Gorham.
Eastern Maine Tech 3, CMTC 2
At Bangor, Dave Bryson scored two goals to spark Eastern Maine Technical College past Central Maine Tech of Auburn.
Shane Libby provided a goal and an assist for the Falcons. Ryan Morse came up with 15 saves on 20 shots.
Pat Miles and Mohammad Suleiman scored for CMTC. Ryan Miles made 15 saves on 18 shots.

At Biddeford, the Nor’easters scored nine second-half goals in the rout of Regis.
Kayce Howard, Risa Wasserman and Jess Murphy netted two goals apiece for 4-2 U-New England. Shannon Swiatkiewwicz, Krissy Forman, Heather Wilde, Caitlin Glancy and Kerry Weber added one goal apiece.
Melissa Dolbec and Jayne Tarkleson combined to make two saves for the winners.
Zoe Lazarakis and Erika Krul teamed up to make eight saves for 2-5 Regis of Weston, Mass.

Plymouth State 1, So. Maine 0
At Plymouth, N.H., Sacha Jackson scored an unassisted goal with 16:10 to play, lifting the host Panthers to victory.
Ellen Ward made four saves on as many shots for 5-4 Plymouth State.
Andy Guerette registered 16 saves on 22 shots for 5-3 the University of Southern Maine.
UM-Farmington 4, Thomas 1
At Waterville, Jenny Dill knocked in two goals and added an assist as the Beavers rolled.
Katie Bernier contributed a goal and two assists from 4-2 UM-Farmington. Dorice Reitchel added a goal and Nicole Murphy assisted on a Dill goal. Fawn Albert made three saves on seven shots.
Bre Patrini scored for the 3-2 Terriers. Dee Kelly made 12 saves on 17 shots.
