Stanley Pyzynski, former director of the Bangor Board of Realtors, a licensed broker for Prudential Singleton Real Estate, a member and trustee of the Brewer Methodist Church and a certified residential specialist, recently was elected to the board of directors for the Maine Parkinson Society.
Pyzynski, an active fund-raiser for Parkinson’s disease awareness, was diagnosed with the condition more than five years ago. He recently was responsible for the Maine Parkinson Society tulip sales and has educated many businesses and individuals about Parkinson’s disease.
Pyzynzki and his wife, Lorna, live in Bangor and have two sons, Brian and Matthew, and two grandchildren, Emma and Wyatt.
Ryan Logan of Veazie has accepted membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and will be honored during a campus ceremony this fall at the University of Maine.
Logan is the son of Thomas Logan and Susan Galen Logan of Veazie and the grandson of Daniel and Barbara Galen of Eastport and Veazie and James Logan of Machias and the late Rowena Logan.
The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is a highly selective, national, nonprofit honors organization. Founded in 1994, the society recognizes first- and second-year undergraduate students who excel academically.
