MACHIAS – Chris Correll booted two goals Friday as the Machias Bulldogs cruised to their 10th win without a loss with a 3-1 victory over Narraguagus.

Austin Roberts chipped in with a goal and Joe Richards and Matt Cobb registered assists for the Bulldogs. Marcus Frutchey had seven saves on nine shots.

Mike Beal notched an unassisted goal for 2-7-1 Narraguagus of Harrington. Eric Peltier turned away 14 of 23 shots.

WA Raiders 3, Jonesport-Beals 0

At Jonesport, Matt Gibson’s two goals led the Raiders to victory.

Jared Gray added a goal for 6-2-1 Washington Academy of East Machias. Juan Cabau had two assists and Max Weiss added one.

Barrett Craven stopped 12 of 13 shots for the 6-2-1 Raiders. Abraham Beal made 19 stops on 22 shots for 1-8-1 Jonesport Beals.

Greenville 1, Piscataquis 1 (2OT)

At Greenville, Jonathan Ethier of Greenville converted a penalty kick with 7:55 remaining in the second half to tie the game and end the scoring.

Gregory Aucoin made 16 saves on 23 shots as the Lakers’ record moved to 7-0-2.

For 5-3-3 Piscataquis of Guilford, Harper Hoffman recorded a first-half goal off a Josh Herrick feed. Josh Luellen and Brandon Jones combined for 17 saves on 29 shots.

John Bapst 3, MDI 1

At Bangor, Zach Means tallied two unassisted goals and assisted on another as John Bapst rolled.

Bryan Snyder added a goal and Alex Means contributed an assist for the 10-1 Crusaders. Bill Chapman made 14 saves on 15 shots.

For 6-2-2 Mount Desert Island, Eric Staples scored on a pass from Da Chang. Kyle Jones recorded 21 saves on 24 shots.

JV: MDI 4-2

Bangor 2, Ellsworth 1

At Ellsworth, Alex Chaiken’s winning goal off a Kyle Cutshall assist with 9:43 left in the game led the Rams to victory.

Cutshall also had an unassisted goal with 3:15 left in the first half. Payson Nichols stopped 12 of 19 shots for 5-4 Bangor.

Jon Hunnewell scored with 15:32 left in the game for the Eagles. Chad Smith made eight saves on 16 shots for 7-2-1 Ellsworth.

JV: Ellsworth 3-0

Central 1, Schenck 0

At Corinth, Joe Allen scored an unassisted goal midway through the second half, giving the Red Devils the victory.

Paul Laking made 10 saves on 13 shots for 4-4-2 Central.

Mike Rossignol made 16 saves on 21 shots for 2-7 Schenck of East Millinocket.

Hampden1, Orono 0

At Hampden, despite a strong showing from Red Riots goalie Mike Merritt, who racked up 35 saves on 36 shots, Mike Binekey’s goal with 24:27 left in the first half proved to be the game-winner for the 6-3-2 Broncos.

Brynjar Hardarson assisted on the goal. Kenny Mayo notched his second shutout of the season with two saves on two shots.

Orono fell to 1-9-2.

JV: Hampden 3-1

Girls soccer

Ashland 1, Katahdin 1

At Ashland, Jessica Jacques scored on a Beth Chamberlain assist with 11:15 left in regulation, helping the Hornets earn a double-overtime tie against the Cougars.

Kim Oakes made 12 saves on 26 shots for 4-5-2 Ashland.

Kylee McAvoy had given Katahdin of Sherman Station a 1-0 lead, scoring off a K.C. Duffy-Stanley assist. Mindy Libby made 10 saves on 11 shots.

Bangor 3, Nokomis 2

At Bangor, Emily Capehart set up the Rams for victory with two assists, including an assist on the game-winning goal by Jenn Towne.

Ashley Tower scored on the other Capehart assist. Kristin Bogan scored unassisted for Bangor. All Bangor goals game in the first half. Katherine Miller made eight saves on shots for 6-3 Bangor, winner of four straight.

Kristina Gonzalez scored two goals, one in each half, for Nokomis of Newport. Danielle Clark assist on the second Gonzalez goal.

Sara Lowe made six saves on 13 shots for the 4-4 Warriors.

Dexter 3, Schenck 2

At Dexter, Lindsay Turner’s three goals led the surging Tigers to their third win a row.

Turner’s game-winner with 9:26 remaining was assisted by Tiffany Wintle, who had two assists. Jodi King scored on a Lindsey Nicholson assist for the Wolverines. Sarah Gordon added a goal on a penalty kick.

Daphne Robichaud stopped 15 of 23 shots for 5-4 Dexter. Beth Chasse made 15 saves on 26 shots for 4-5 Schenck of East Millinocket.

Searsport 4, George Stevens 2

At Searsport, Jessica Larrabee netted a pair of goals as the Vikings defeated George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill.

Shannon Murphy and Nicole Shute aided the cause with a goal each. Jessica Plourde distributed two assists and Sarah Cook recorded one for 5-2-1 Searsport. Mo Hall made eight saves on 14 shots.

For the 6-3-1 Eagles, Ana Osage and Bethany Roberts scored a goal each. Sarah Kilch made eight stops on 20 shots.

Bangor Christian 4, Central 2

At Bangor, Danielle Miller scored two goals and Heather Niles pitched in with a goal and an assist as Bangor Christian topped Central of Corinth.

Becky Fortier registered a goal and Emily Jenkins added an assist for the 3-6-1 Patriots. Shelley Blake made six saves on 10 shots.

For the 1-10 Red Devils, Lindsay Mitchell and Julie McDonald scored goals while Nicole Logue and Jamie Lawrence doled out assists. Nicole Daniel made 14 saves on 30 shots.

Lee 3, PVHS 0

At Lee, Deidra Ham and Jenny Stevens combined for all the scoring to lead the 10-0 Pandas to victory.

Ham had two goals and an assist and Stevens had a goal and two assists.

Katie Harris stopped made five saves on six shots, posting her eighth shutout of the season.

Kylie McGinn made 10 saves on 16 shots for 3-7-1 Penobscot Valley of Howland.

Field hockey

Dexter 3, Mattanawcook 0

At Dexter, the Tigers ran their mark to 10-0 behind a pair of goals from Melissa Doody.

Keriann Patterson added a goal, while Kristy Veazie, Brittany Veazie and Lindsay Blake each logged an assist. Cindy Koscielny stopped the only shot she faced.

For 2-6-2 Mattanawcook of Lincoln, Sara McCormick turned back 21 of 27 shots.
