OLD TOWN – Belfast scored quick and often with touchdowns from six different players to defeat Old Town 52-6 Friday night and maintain their undefeated football season.
Jeff Parenteau led all rushers with 18 carries for 132 yards and a touchdown for the Lions. His 41-yard score gave Belfast a 14-0 lead in what would be a 22-point first quarter. Belfast took a 44-0 lead before the Indians responded with a 6-yard run from Jeremy Stormann.
Ben Cowan added two touchdowns for Belfast, a 2-yard run and an 18-yard pass to Justin Reynolds. The Lions also got rushing touchdowns from Matt Welch (4 yards), Kevin Gray (27 yards), Colby Horne (56 yards), and John Lear (19 yards).
Roger Cole led Old Town with 14 carries for 100 yards. Cole also led the Indian defense with 12 tackles and a fumble recovery. Justin Reynolds led the Belfast defense with 10 tackles and two sacks.

At Dover-Foxcroft, Danny White amassed 107 of Foxcroft’s 195 rushing yards, scored a touchdown, converted four extra points and passed to Josh Sands for a score on a halfback option play to pace the Ponies.
Sands finished with 43 rushing yards on 12 carries, scoring another touchdown on a 30-yard return. Derek Morong contributed 45 yards on nine carries. The Foxcroft defense held Mattanawcook of Lincoln to 24 rushing yards, with Trey Merrill making eight tackles.
For the Lynx, quarterback Dustin Hanscom was 10-for-16 for 130 yards.

At Pittsfield, a Derek Saunders interception on a screen pass stopped a last-chance drive by the Red Riots and teammate Jake LaSalle recovered Saunders’ fumble for a 7-yard touchdown to put the game out of reach with five minutes remaining.
The Huskies’ other touchdown came on a 14-yard rush by Mike Broccio, who finished with 10 carries for 41 yards. Tyson Quint gained 91 yards on 17 attempts for MCI.
Luke McGowan led the MCI defense with 14 tackles, including three for a loss and two sacks.
Ryan Levesque put the only points of the game on the board for the Red Riots with a 25-yard field goal. He also had a strong night at running back, gaining approximately 80 yards.
