NEW LONDON, Conn. – The visiting Colby White Mules erupted for three goals in the second half to pull away from Connecticut College for a 3-1 men’s soccer victory Saturday afternoon.

Andy Danziger made five saves on 13 shots for the 3-3 Mules. Mike Ungerer, Brian Mitchell, and David Manning each scored a goal.

UM-Fort Kent 7, Unity 0

At Fort Kent on Sunday, Neal Jandreau and Josh Roy booted two goals apiece as the University of Maine-Fort Kent rolled to its third consecutive shutout win.

Frederik Sollid contributed a goal and an assist while Hatim Abouyahya and Charles Bard added goals for the Bengals. Tim Farrar chipped in with two assists and Jandreau and Gintaras Lenkutis recorded an assist apiece. James Page stopped all seven shots he faced.

Unity goalie Travis Coutlee made seven saves on 14 shots.

Harvard 7, Maine 0

At Cambridge, Mass., Kevin Ara had two goals and an assist to lead the Harvard Crimson to a shutout over the University of Maine Black Bears.

Jeremy Truntzer scored two goals and Nick Unichick had two assists for the 4-2 Crimson.

Mat Cosgriff and Adam Maciaszczyk combined to make seven saves on 17 shots for the 1-4 Black Bears.

Keene State 3, Southern Maine 2

At Gorham Saturday, Mike Monteiro scored with 2:40 left in the game to give the Keene State Owls the win.

For the 2-8-1 Huskies, Joel Bancroft had a goal and an assist. Mike Hangge scored the other goal and Dan Hills saved 10 of 13 shots.

UM-Farmington 1, Thomas 0

At Hippach Field in Farmington Saturday, Adam Zukowski scored 25 minutes into the game off a Mike Hauser assist to give the University of Maine-Farmington Beavers the victory.

For the 6-0 Terriers, Mike Hauser and Ryan Hersey combined to make three saves on three shots.

Ryan Conley saves 11 of 29 shots for the 1-1Terriers.

Mount Ida 4, Maine Maritime 0

At Dedham, Mass., Sunday, Kevin Lazaro totaled a goal and an assist to lift Mount Ida over Maine Maritime Academy of Castine.

Mariner goalies Chad Flagg and Daniel Loebel tallied seven saves on 21 shots.

Lyndon St. 3, Saint Joe’s 2 (OT)

At Standish Sunday, Rene Cusson scored his second goal of the day and the game-winner on a feed from Scott McKim six minutes into overtime to give Lyndon State College a win.

Mike Herrick and Matt Grauwiler each scored for the 3-3 Saint Joseph’s College Monks. Jeff Yaeger made six saves on 12 shots.

McKim scored the Hornets’ other goal.

Girls Soccer

UM-Machias 3, Unity 1

At Machias Saturday, Christina Rich notched her 15th and 16th goals of the season and assisted on the other for 9-0 UM-Machias.

Tania Hart had a goal and an assist, Shelley Hayden contributed an assist and Tricia Farrell made 10 saves.

Tammy Hancock scored for 2-7 Unity and Kelly Erickson made 15 stops.

UM-Farmington 7, Thomas 0

At Farmington Saturday, Megan Woodcock had three goals to lead the University of Maine-Farmington.

Julia Malek, Jen Ireland, Shannon Mailhot, and Heather Peterson each scored a goal for the Beavers. Alyson Portbriand and Dawn Roleston combined for three saves on three shots.

UMF’s Kendra Petoro had four saves on 11 shots.

Colby 1, Conn. College 1 (2OT)

At New London, Conn., Saturday afternoon, freshman midfielder Christina Andaya scored unassisted with four minutes left in regulation to salvage a tie for the Colby College White Mules.

For the 4-1 Mules, Abby Russell made nine saves on 16 shots.

Keene State 2, Southern Maine 0

At Gorham Saturday, Jennifer Ortisi and Celena Chickering each scored a goal to give the Keene State College Owls the win.

For the 3-6 Huskies, Marcy Ansley made eight saves on 21 shots.

Maine 4, Marist 0

At Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Sunday, the Maine Black Bears won their fourth straight game of the season as they limited Marist to four shots total in the game.

Katie Hodge, Kim Walsh, Annie Hamel and Kate Crawford each scored goals for the 5-1-1 Bears. Naomi Welsh saved four of five shots for her fifth shutout of the season.

Mount Ida 4, Maine Maritime 0

At Dedham, Mass., Sunday, four Mount Ida players scored as the Mustangs blanked Maine Maritime Academy of Castine. The Mount Ida defense held the Mariners without a shot.

For 0-7 Maine Maritime, Heather Jackson recorded 24 saves on 51 shots.

Unity 3, Bunker Hill 2

At Unity Sunday, Kara White blasted home her second goal of the game at the five minute mark of the second overtime as Unity topped Bunker Hill of Boston.

White and Tasha Benoit had first half goals for 4-4 Unity. Kristen Hewitt registered 10 saves on 12 shots.

Sue Cornacchio netted both goals for 2-5 Bunker Hill.

Field Hockey

Connecticut College 2, Colby 1

At New London, Conn., on Saturday, Emily Huffman fired in an unassisted score at the 32:55 mark of the second half to lift Connecticut College over Colby of Waterville.

Vassalboro native Sarah Browne scored for the 5-1 Mules. Carrie Torrisi made five saves on 10 shots.

So. Maine 3, Worcester State 0

At Gorham Saturday, Sasha Ilkovich racked up two goals and an assist as Southern Maine blanked Worcester State.

Liza Barker contributed a goal and Becky Manson and Sarah MacKay recorded assists as the Huskies upped their mark to 6-3. Jessie Superchi and Andrea Guerette shared time in goal, facing only two shots.

Thomas 4, Wheelock College 1

At Waterville Saturday, Erin Lovely blasted all four goals as Thomas rolled over Wheelock College of Boston.

Breanne Petrini and Dawn Holland contributed to the Terrier cause with an assist each. Dee Kelly stopped four of seven shots.
