WATERVILLE – Police arrested two women this weekend while they were sleeping in a car and charged them in the robbery of a woman last week in Waterville’s Elm Plaza parking lot.

Police charged 20-year-old Nicole Knight of Bangor with robbery and violating bail conditions. Heather Blood, 24, also of Bangor, was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property.

The two were arrested after police found them asleep in their car beside Interstate 95 in Sidney on Saturday morning.

A woman was robbed at knifepoint last Wednesday evening. Police said the getaway car is the same one in which the two suspects were found sleeping.

Police anticipate additional charges against the women within the next few days. The women were taken to the Kennebec County jail in Augusta, where Blood remained in custody Sunday.
