POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The University of Maine Black Bears limited Marist to just four shots to notch a 4-0 women’s soccer victory Sunday.

The Bears recorded their fourth straight victory.

Katie Hodge, Kim Walsh, Annie Hamel and Kate Crawford each scored goals for the 5-1-1 Bears. Naomi Welsh saved four of five shots for her fifth shutout of the season.

UM-Farmington 7, Thomas 0

At Farmington Saturday, Megan Woodcock had three goals to lead the University of Maine-Farmington.

Julia Malek, Jen Ireland, Shannon Mailhot, and Heather Peterson each scored a goal for the Beavers. Alyson Portbriand and Dawn Roleston combined for three saves on three shots.

UMF’s Kendra Petoro had four saves on 11 shots.

Lyndon State 4, Husson 3 (OT)

At Bangor Saturday, the host Braves got three goals from Melissa Achorn in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to avoid an overtime loss to Lyndon State College of Lyndonville, Vt.

Jess Tetrault led Lyndon State with the winning goal – scored on a corner kick in overtime – and an assist while Maggie Scott saved 26 of 29 shots. Erin Tinker, Jill Gillard, and Lacey Smith each scored a goal for Lyndon.

Katy Calligan had an assist for the 4-4 Braves and Meg Taylor made 11 saves on 15 shots.

Colby 1, Conn. College 1 (2OT)

At New London, Conn., Saturday afternoon, freshman midfielder Christina Andaya scored unassisted with four minutes left in regulation to salvage a tie for the Colby College White Mules.

For the 4-1 Mules, Abby Russell made nine saves on 16 shots.

Keene State 2, Southern Maine 0

At Gorham Saturday, Jennifer Ortisi and Celena Chickering each scored a goal to give the Keene State College Owls the win.

For the 3-6 Huskies, Marcy Ansley made eight saves on 21 shots.

Mount Ida 4, Maine Maritime 0

At Dedham, Mass., Sunday, four Mount Ida players scored as the Mustangs blanked Maine Maritime Academy of Castine. The Mount Ida defense held the Mariners without a shot.

For 0-7 Maine Maritime, Heather Jackson recorded 24 saves on 51 shots.

Unity 3, Bunker Hill 2

At Unity Sunday, Kara White blasted home her second goal of the game at the five minute mark of the second overtime as Unity topped Bunker Hill of Boston.

White and Tasha Benoit had first half goals for 4-4 Unity. Kristen Hewitt registered 10 saves on 12 shots.

Sue Cornacchio netted both goals for 2-5 Bunker Hill.

Field hockey

Husson 6, Wheelock 0

At Bangor Sunday, Jennifer Comeau scored a pair of goals and assisted on another and Nicole Palmer and Sara McIntire had a goal and an assist apiece as Husson improved to 4-1.

Kim Knoir and Nola Boynton had the other goals and Shani Hollins teamed up with Amanda Swain to make four saves.

Thomas 4, Wheelock College 1

At Waterville Saturday, Erin Lovely blasted all four goals as Thomas rolled over Wheelock College of Boston.

Breanne Petrini and Dawn Holland contributed to the Terrier cause with an assist each. Dee Kelly stopped four of seven shots.

UM-Fort Kent 7, Unity 0

At Fort Kent on Sunday, Neal Jandreau and Josh Roy booted two goals apiece as the University of Maine-Fort Kent rolled to its third consecutive shutout win.

Frederik Sollid contributed a goal and an assist while Hatim Abouyahya and Charles Bard added goals for the Bengals. Tim Farrar chipped in with two assists and Jandreau and Gintaras Lenkutis recorded an assist apiece. James Page stopped all seven shots he faced.

Unity goalie Travis Coutlee made seven saves on 14 shots.

UM-Machias 2, UNB-St. John 0

At St. John, New Brunswick, Courtenay Campbell made 16 saves and Dwayne Josiah and Tatenda Chirusa scored to power UM-Machias past previously undefeated New Brunswick-St. John.

Brett Howarth assisted on Josiah’s first-half goal and Tim Spry assisted on the second-half goal for the 2-7 Clippers.

Harvard 7, Maine 0

At Cambridge, Mass., Kevin Ara had two goals and an assist to lead the Harvard Crimson to a shutout over the University of Maine Black Bears.

Jeremy Truntzer scored two goals and Nick Unichick had two assists for the 4-2 Crimson.

Mat Cosgriff and Adam Maciaszczyk combined to make seven saves on 17 shots for the 1-4 Black Bears.

UM-Fort Kent 1, UMPI 0

At Presque Isle Saturday, Juan Murphy scored off a corner kick by Gintaras Lenkutis with 13 minutes left in the game to give the University of Maine-Fort Kent Bengals the win over UM-Presque Isle.

The visiting Bengals are now 3-2-1 as James Page made five saves on six shots. For the 4-3 Owls, Jon Cole saved four of five shots.

UM-Farmington 1, Thomas 0

At Hippach Field in Farmington Saturday, Adam Zukowski scored 25 minutes into the game off a Mike Hauser assist to give the University of Maine-Farmington Beavers the victory.

For the 6-0 Terriers, Mike Hauser and Ryan Hersey combined to make three saves on three shots.

Ryan Conley saves 11 of 29 shots for the 1-1Terriers.

Mount Ida 4, Maine Maritime 0

At Dedham, Mass., Sunday, Kevin Lazaro totaled a goal and an assist to lift Mount Ida over Maine Maritime Academy of Castine.

Mariner goalies Chad Flagg and Daniel Loebel tallied seven saves on 21 shots.

Lyndon State 3, Husson 2 (OT)

At Bangor, Nathan Phelps’ goal in the first overtime supplied Lyndon State with its come-from-behind win.

Daouda Diedhiou and Dave Richard scored for 0-6 Husson with Khoa Nguyen and Aaron Cowan picking up assists. Cliff Urquhart made seven saves on 16 shots.

Colby 3, Conn. College 1

At New London, Conn., the visiting Colby White Mules erupted for three goals in the second half to pull away from Connecticut College Saturday.

Andy Danziger made five saves on 13 shots for the 3-3 Mules. Mike Ungerer, Brian Mitchell, and David Manning each scored a goal.
