ORONO – The Orono High School girls soccer team will be holding a soccer skill-a-thon on Friday at 3 p.m. at the high school soccer fields to benefit the American Red Cross’ Sept. 11 fund for the victims and families of the terrorist attacks.

Contests include: hard shot competition in which the speed of a shot will be measured by a radar gun; dribbling through cones for speed and juggling a soccer ball on their feet. There will be three divisions: youth, middle school and high school.

A participant will pay a quarter every time he or she enters a competition and they can participate as often as they like. Prizes will be awarded. For more information contact Cid Dyjak at Absolute Soccer, 827-8201.
