Karyn Magno
Karyn Magno of the University of Maine has been named the America East Field Hockey Player of the Week. The forward from Canton, Mass., scored three first-half goals and logged an assist in the second half to lead Maine to a 7-1 win over Boston University on Saturday. It was the first collegiate hat trick for the sophomore, who played in just three games and did not earn a single point last season.

BOSTON – Cheryl Elliott of the University of Maine volleyball team has been named the Spalding America East Setter of the Week. Elliott, a sophomore from Puslinch, Ontario, set a school single-game record with 68 assists in a five-game loss to Northeastern and posted 59 in a four-game win over Albany. She also had 48 assists in a loss to New Hampshire, averaging 13.5 per game for the week.

Chris Inzerillo of Thomas College in Waterville has been selected the Webber Energy Maine Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week. The freshman from South Barre, Mass., scored the game-winning goal and added an assist as the Terriers beat UMaine-Fort Kent 2-1.
Ryan Conley
Ryan Conley of Thomas College in Waterville was named the Webber Energy Maine Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The senior from Ellsworth made several big saves in the Terriers’ 2-1 win over UMaine-Fort Kent.
Megan Woodcock
Megan Woodcock of the University of Maine-Farmington has been chosen the Maine Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week. The junior striker from Farmington scored eight goals and provided two assists in the Beavers’ 3-0 week.
Sarah Cole
Sarah Cole of Husson College in Bangor has received the nod as the Maine Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The junior defender from Swanville anchored the Braves’ defense, which posted two shutouts last week.
Adam Ranks
LEWISTON – Adam Ranks of Bates College in Lewiston has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Football Rookie of the Week. Ranks, a freshman tight end from Stratham, N.H., made six receptions for 83 yards, including a 31-yarder, in Saturday’s 35-14 loss to Williams.
